What We Do With Your Holiday Home Recycling

Once collected the recyclable waste is taken to the recycling plant. From here it’s processed and made ready to be re-used in all kinds of interesting ways.

• Glass is sent to Yorkshire to make light bulbs, bottles and jars.
• Cardboard is used to make new boxes and horse bedding.
• Paper is used for printing newspapers or animal bedding.
• Cans are not only used to make new cans, they’re also used in the manufacture of new car parts.
• Plastic is used to make new containers and furniture.
• Any non-recyclable waste is sent to a waste energy plant where it’s used to power a turbine and produce green energy.
