Holiday Home Waste Collection
Established in 2016 with one woman and her van, Holiday Home Waste Collection has been driven largely by Jenny’s need to fulfil the demand for a reliable & professional service across the whole of Cornwall. What started in Port Isaac with an urgent need to ensure holiday homes weren’t left with a build-up of waste outside, has developed into a county wide service.
As local councils and Cornwall County Council changed their waste collections to exclude holiday homes, Jenny brought more vans, hired more like minded people and worked more early mornings than is really natural to ensure that no holiday home guest arrived to piles of waste!
Always with an eye for the details, Jenny works very closely with Suez for all of her dry mixed recycling which is taken to Bodmin Recycling Centre every day with her new Luton, low level recycling vans. Glass recycling is managed completely separately, with a number of 12 yard skips in storage yards placed strategically around the county. Cornwall Cullet come and collect all our glass on a weekly basis, which is then recycled into light bulbs in Yorkshire.
The teams attention to detail and sense of professional satisfaction is what has kept clients and lead to the development of the business.
