Coronavirus

We are taking COVID 19 very seriously and making plans according to information from the Government.  Currently we are all busy bees, out across the county collecting your holiday home waste.  We have lots of measures in place to protect us and you as you will see below.  If you are at all concerned about your collections or are suffering from the virus please do contact us so we can make appropriate arrangements.
Wishing you all the best,
Jenny

Coronavirus Statement

Holiday Home waste Collection Ltd will continue collections on all scheduled dates as our contract terms states. There has not been any reason to change  our working days. However we are closely monitoring the potential impact of COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”) on our business and the possible risk to visitors to the holiday homes.

Following the UK Government announcement of a UK Coronavirus plan and the current World Health Organisation (WHO) standard recommendations for the virus, Holiday Home waste Collection Ltd will be implementing the following steps to minimise infection risk to employees and to our customers.

Prevention
We are advising that all employees closely follow the infection control measures recommended by UK public health agencies. These include:

  • Frequently washing hands for 20 seconds by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
  • When coughing and sneezing, cover the mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or tissue – throw the tissue away immediately and then washing their hands.
  • Anyone who has a fever, cough or feels unwell or suspects they may have the infection will be asked to contact the NHS services immediately and avoid contact with others until advised on next steps. We have advised our employees to immediately advise us if they are unwell and to not report to work.
  • Travellers returning from the high-risk areas (Category 1) are being advised to self-isolate, even if asymptomatic, and use the NHS services to find out what to do next. Those returning from Category 2 areas are being informed to self-isolate if they develop symptoms and call NHS services. If this is relevant to any of our employees we have asked them to let us know by telephone and not report to work.
  • Our employees already follow company protocol in respect of picking up waste which could be contaminated. Our employees will continue to collect waste to the high safety standards we require.

Education
We have provided our  employees with up to date information on virus prevention and isolation protocols aimed at minimising risk.

Monitoring
Our business is continually monitoring the information and implementing the advice and protocols recommended by UK Government, WHO and Centre for Disease Control (CDC).

Conclusion
We will remain open for all collections as normal, Unless there is further guidance issued by the government or we believe there is a risk to our customers.

If anyone feels that we should not collect at any particular property due to visitors being ‘’vulnerable’’ or suspected/confirmed cases of Covid-19, then please call our office 01208 815060 or 07814934978
